A Leader Amongst the People

Monica A. Roebuck is an educator and community leader in Prince George’s County.  She has served on important committees at the County and the State level related to voting rights and education. She decided to launch her run for Delegate in District 23a to continue her advocacy and passion for education, justice and equality. A lifelong Democrat, Monica believes strong leaders make better communities.

  • Humble Beginnings

    Monica A. Roebuck is an educator and community leader in Prince George’s County. She has served on important committees at the County and the State level related to voting rights and education.  

  • The Pledge

    Monica is running for Delegate in District 23a to continue her advocacy and passion for education, justice and equality. As a lifelong Democrat, Ms. Roebuck believes strong leaders make better communities.  

  • Educator

    Monica is a teacher for Prince George’s county schools. She is a certified and highly qualified educator. She has served for 20 years as a classroom teacher, mentor and leader in her school.  

  • Social Justice Chair

    Ms. Roebuck is the former social justice chairperson of the Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority, Iota Gamma Omega chapter. Under her leadership, Monica increased voter engagement and overall participation.

  • Legislative Campaigns

    Ms. Roebuck has led several successful campaigns affecting women and people of color. She was also instrumental in the budget approval of a $577 million dollar settlement of Maryland HBCUs.  

  • Board of Elections

    In 2019, Ms. Roebuck was appointed to the Prince George’s County Board of elections. During the same year, she was also appointed to the Democratic Committee for Voter Engagement and Voter Protection.

  • Voter Rights

    She led a campaign to help protect the voting rights of incarcerated men and women in the 2020 election. Through her efforts over 300 people in the county jail were able to register and cast their vote.

  • Next Steps

    Currently, Monica Roebuck is the founder and CEO of Community Solutions consulting services. This newly formed LLC empowers residents with educational, political and business consulting resources.
